5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2013 NEW

We have just returned from 3 nights stay at the Acorn Guest House - 2nd to 5th June - and can highly recommend it. It has its own parking - always a boon when staying in or near a city - and was an easy walk into Oxford. Even better you could walk along the river path into Oxford -... More

We stayed at The Acorn for two nights to visit Oxford for the first time. We were surprised by this B&B. The B&B is very near the old town centre, but it's so quiet! It set back from the (busy) road and it has a wonderful garden. From the B&B it's only a nice, short walk, about 25 minutes, to... More

This location is very easy to find and is about a ten minute walk to the town. There are buses that run down the road, but walking took just as long as waiting for one. I was in the very top of the house, third floor I guess it was. Hauling luggage up the flights is tricky but everyone likes... More

We stayed with our 5 month old for 2 nights. We had a family rear facing room that the owners had kindly put a cot into ready for our arrival. The room was pleasant, clean and quiet and breakfast was very nice and served with a smile. It's a 25 minute walk along the road or a very pretty 40... More

I stayed at the Acorn Guest House for three nights in March 2013. My room (B6) was very cozy, with a very comfortable bed and view of the back garden. The ensuite bathroom was tiny but clean and the shower had ample hot water. The room was very quiet, although on the last night I could hear a snorer through... More

I stayed in this guest house for one night. I was very happy with my room. The hotel is very clean and the land lord was very helpful. If i have to stay in Oxford again, I would definitely stay at the Acorn.

I was actually referred to the Acorn House by another guest house that was out of room, and I am so glad that I was! Their single accommodation (shared bathroom) is very comfortable, with enough room to spread out one's things, cozy furnishings, a place to hang clothes, a mini TV, and a sink in-room. My room (A1) even had... More

My girlfriend and I stopped at the Acorn Guest House on the 10th February 2013 for 1 night and found the stay very comfortable and relaxing. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly, the room we were in wasn't the biggest but was nice and charming and breakfast was very filling and hearty. Considering the average price of a... This was the first B&B I ever stayed in and it was probably the best choice I could have made. The Email correspondence was easy and the people were really helpful right from the beginning. The bus from the train station drops you off literally 2 seconds from the entrance and connections to the city centre are perfect. The room... More

Stayed here for four nights at the end of January. Good location, value for money with clean, tidy and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also excellent. You have everything you need from a B&B with TV, kettle, towels etc. Thanks Acorn!
