We booked this place last minute over bank holiday weekend. The guest house was nice, lovely building outside had a nice welcome and delicious shortbread. When we arrived we went for a walk around the lakes which was lovely. We ate in the local pub which was horrible. You are kind of stuck without any options if you don't fancy... More

Just echoing the other glowing reviews here about Rectory Farm - warm, inviting, friendly, great rooms and a lovely property. Mary Anne's shortbread is probably the best I've ever had. Her hot cross buns at breakfast almost had me changing my travel plans to stay another night just to be able to have them again. More

I really love this B and B. The breakfast is really good. Cooked or continental, always impressive. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the showers work very well. It is very peaceful and the pub is a 2 minute walk away which also has great food. But the owners are lovely people and are always up early if needed.... More

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and at home. This is a truly unique B&B in a historic house but the rooms have been decorated and modernised very well to suit modern tastes. The guest lounge with its log burner was just sublime. Can't recomend this B&B highly enough. We will definetly return More

This is what B&Bs should be about. Arrived exhaused after a 12 mile hike, to be greeted in a very friendly way by owner and dog. Cup of tea and homemade shortbread to die for. The house itself is amazing - one of those lovely old rambling places that seem to go on forever. Room very pleasant and comfortable. Decaff... More

This B&B is a historic farm house beside the church in a lovely country village near Oxford. It's a really distinctive place to stay and the hospitality is excellent. The owner is very friendly and helpful with local information. The breakfast choice is good and tasty - with both cooked and fresh options. The location is great for exploring the... More

We came to stay at Rectory Farm, as we had a Alistair Sawday's voucher which got us two nights for the price of 1. We booked it as it was near to oxford and we wanted to do some sightseeing around oxford. The park and ride is only about 20 mins away. There is also a town called Witney about... More
