I'm not sure I would make a special trip from Boston, but if I were anywhere closer, I would go back in a flash. The food is creative and delicious. The breakfast may be even better than the dinners. The service is lovely. It is not cheap, the rooms are small, but I would recommend it without hesitation. More

We went to the Kingham Plough for a special celebration meal - we have been to the pub for lunch a few times and been impressed, but wanted to try out the restaurant. The management knew this, but there was no extra gesture save the waitress saying 'Happy Anniversary'! No amuses-bouches, no chocs or petit fours with the coffee, in... More

My son and I were looking for a pint and a snack, and having read about this pub we dropped in during the early afternoon for some snacks which included the scotched quails eggs and pork pie. We enjoyed them very much along with the Cotswold beer and lager and generally found the pub to be an ideal place for... More

Overpriced and pretentious nonsense. 'Bar Meal' of Goujons consisted of TWO small pieces of fish. Together with a very average salad, one small glass of poor quality Sauvignon Blanc and a glass of juice = £23...........Get real! More

Dear Sir, Thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to the Kingham Plough. I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your fish goujons and salad but the dishes on the bar snacks menu have been designed to be eaten individually as a light bite or, if the diner would like something more substantial, for more than one item... My girlfriend and I stayed at the Plough for one night recently and would certainly recommend it. A very stylish little place in a quiet village, close to many places worth a visit. Our room (6) was very comfortable, quiet and cosy, a huge bed, great shower. Many nice little touches like home made biscuits. Dinner was very good if... More

Lovely Cotswolds lager on tap, and lovely decor. Comfortable seats and good space between tables, general ambiance nice. My wife's first 2 courses were a bit over-salted but no complaints about mine at all, but the real gem for me were the desserts. They were of a very high quality and easy to recommend, just save room for one and... More

We arrived at the Kingham Plough to high expectations. The decor and ambience were excellent - quite quirky but still warm and homely. We ordered our food and to start with I was impressed by the member of staff that sat down with us and talked us through the menu. I was a little put off by his "What I... More

we had a lovely stay over the bank holiday. Comfortable rooms, lots of nice touches in the rooms eg home made biscuits, and the restaurant food was great. The bar food eg snails and pots of prawns was tired, trendy and outdated so we ate elsewhere some of the time. Good location for nice walks. Beware Marcus and his expensive... More
