I really like this hotel. It looks like a small cottage from the outside but this is a very comfortable hotel full of quirky rooms with all mod cons. The restaurant was very good although a little too ..hush hush darling..for me to really rave about it.I would prefer it if it was a little more vibrant and relaxed as... More

Have just spent 3 nights away at The Lamb Inn, Burford, with my Wife. Cannot fault the time we spent there. The staff are friendly and attentive without being obtrusive or over bearing. All in all it felt like our very own "home from home" with comfy sofas, excellent food&drink, and roaring log fires. Book with confidence. More

A great place for sitting by real log fires and as a base for taking bracing walks across the open country. We took advantage of attractive January rates for dinner, bed and breakfast on a Sunday night and stayed in the Shepherd Room with a four-poster. It was all comfortable and the food was good, but the inn is showing... More

We were part of a group of five couples who have recently returned from an excellent long weekend away at The Lamb. It is classic "Old English" with low ceilings, flagstone floors and great big roaring log fires in huge fireplaces. The food however is absolutely 21st century with a delicious and imaginative menu. The bedrooms have names, not numbers.... More

The Lamb Inn is a 15th century building that is absolutely filled with character - stone floors, wooden beams, log fires and antique furniture - and situated very close to the centre of this historic town. The bedrooms vary considerably in size and quality and on this visit we were disappointed with our room which was small and had a... More

I have stayed at The Lamb on several occasions and always look forward to returning. On this occasion I encountered a few problems but they were sorted without fuss or difficulty--a sign of customer care. The bar food is excellent and can be taken in front of a roaring fire--I personally prefer the bar food to that in the restuarent but... My wife and I spend a night at The Lamb a few nights before Christmas. We live about 10 miles away and have had lunch there many many times. In the Summer it has a wonderful garden to have lunch in, in the winter 3 relaxed rooms where you can sit in front of a roaring fire. The food is... More

Burford is a lovely Cotswolds town with plenty nice small shops, pubs and cafes. The Oxford Shirt Company clothes shop is a labryinthe and well worth visiting. Also nice delis and craft shops. The Lamb is a sister hotel to the Bay Tree next door. It is very welcoming with lots of small public rooms with open fires. The bar... More

We got a really good dinner bed and breakfast deal and will be going back again in the new year. The service was excellent, which was a pleasant surprise. Dinner was amazing, loads of appetizing things to choose from. Roaring fires going in all the cozy lounges. Breakfast was also very good, lots of extra choices instead of the usual... More
