My girlfriend and I stayed at this campsite over the first weekend in July 2011. We rang ahead to confirm that they did not book grass pitches, and was told that as long as we got there fairly early we were pretty much guaranteed a pitch. The lady just asked us not arrive before 9am. We arrived Friday morning at... More

This is mine and my husbands second visit; we really love it here! In fact I'd go so far to say it's our favourite campsite we've visited. The view of Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar is stunning. A quiet campsite with simple but clean facilities. The toilet and shower blocks are excellent, clean and tidy; a nice hot and powerful... More

as several persons have commented, whilst the few is superb the facilities are too sew for the number of campers. It was only a fraction full when we stayed yet we always had to wait at the showers/toilets so god onl knows what it must be like in summer. Also the slope on the hill is quite steep so you... More

I booked this because the Reviews said this was a brilliant campsite. It is unfortunately far from that. It gets the stars for it's location only, it is within easy walking of Robin Hoods Bay (down a very steep hill though) with great views over the bay. However the facilities are poor, there are clearly not enough showers for the... More

While the facilities are spotless there are only 2 showers for women and 2 for men, which makes the morning rush rather interesting. The field itself is on a hill which means you either slide or roll down the bed. All in all this is a nice site (eventho it's really just a field that they have stuck some portacabin... More

Really good place to be based when exploring this area of Yorkshire - easy access on foot to the Cinder Track (disused railway track which runs along the coast) and the Cleveland Way coastal path. The site is clean, well-kept, has great facilities and has friendly owners. It doesn't allow groups (which we liked) and does allow dogs (which didn't... More

We were blessed with beautiful weather, for what was mean't to be a two night stay (had to leave early, poorly child). We were so dissapointed to leave. First of all, the view is beyond compare. the site is set on a hill, which we thought might pose problems for pitching the tent but it didn't. The atmosphere is very... More

Friendly welcome to a lovely clean campsite with a fabulous view overlooking Robin Hood's Bay and the hills around. Really good facilities - Showers, toilets and basins, individual washrooms, freezers, a fridge and washing up sinks all spotless with hot water at every time of the day. Some pitches have electrical hook up. We had a great time and will... More

On our arival we were greeted with such kindness and a welcoming feeling, the campsite was clean & tidy, all facilities were shown to us without hesitation, we felt right at home. This was our first ever stay in a motor home and so the owners advised nothing would be too much trouble to assist! We managed to trip the... More
