It was obvious when we were booking that the staff at the hotel cared about their clients. I booked through Lyndsay who could not have been more helpful. She emailed details of the vicinity of hotel rooms etc., as we had a dog with us and when we arrived we knew that we had chosen the right room overlooking a... more

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The waiter recommended the 'Hot Chocolate Soup with Pistachio Ice Cream' for dessert and it was to die for. The bathroom light was out when we got there but the manager came up straight away to replace the... more

We stayed a weekend in this small rural hotel just outside Scarborough. It's well-located if you like the coast but do not like the kiss-me-quick resort culture; we were able to access coastal walks and nearby countryside quickly and easily. It's an an interesting place, well-adapted and developed from an old farmhouse; lots of grounds with a charming pond; lovely... more

Our two-night stay for a wedding was a total fiasco. You should always be wary of a hotel that takes payment without offering to show you the room - I wasn't! We booked months in advance and still ended up in a room that was tiny, dark and had no wardrobe (Room 19). It had a very small cupboard and... more

A brilliant stay. The best hotel in our travels so far. We had a dog with us and they were very understanding, which pleased our 12 year old son. We had a lovely comfortable clean room with a view of the beautiful extensive gardens. Originally, we planned to eat at places we visited however, because of the welcoming, attentive staff, superb... more

What can I say about this hotel, it was our first visit and I must say we weren't disappointed, the location was stunning and would never had believed that we were a very short distance from Scarborough town centre. Our room was lovely although it wasn't the biggest but it was clean and comfortable. We only ate breakfast in the... more

Having stayed at Ox Pasture Hall quite a few times during the year I returned to spend a week's holiday- the hotel is ideally situated for walking along the coast or in the National Park. My stay for seven days was most enjoyable. The room was spotlessly clean and serviced every day to a very high standrad. The food was... more

Against my better judgement I decided to visit Ox Pasture Hall again my last visit being nothing short of a catastrophe which I shall not dwell on here. At first glance (and this is my second here), Ox Pasture Hall looks like an idylic setting for anybody wanting to get away from it all or base themselves just outside of... more

We have stayed at Ox Pastures on several times in the past (before if became a Best Western) and have found it to be an excellent small friendly hotel, We returned again this year to find that there had been refurbishment of the rooms. The rooms are well appointed, clean, spacious and with a great bathroom. The hotel is set... more
