We booked here because it accepted pets. The food was good, but then things went downhill. We were unable to get to sleep (including the dog) until 1am because of noise from the bar. Good points: -Good location for the Peak district -Helpful staff -Great beer -Pet Friendly Bad points: -TV didnt work all weekend, kept timing out on sky -Expensive, four poster room with breaky, two nights + drinks = £242 -breaky - powdered egg - yuk, cheap ingredients more
First impressions on this Hotel are good. A warm log fire and real ales with the promise of good food and a late bar. Indeed the beer was excellent (Theakstons with occassional guests) and the local lamb and beef made for a fantastic evening meal topped off with a plate full of local cheeses.
