Had a lovely stay at Abbeyfields whilst on a business trip. The B&B was in a good location, near the city but very quiet and relaxed. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and Les and Al very helpful hosts. Would recommend, and I wish every work-related stay could be as pleasant as mine at Abbeyfields. more

This was a wonderful stop in B&B row just outside the walls of the old City of York. Five-minute walk to walls of the old city. The night we arrived the hostess tipped us to show up a a particular pub where a men's choir would come in and sing for a pint after rehearsal - wonderful experience! Hosts helped... more

My husband and I arrived at Abbeyfields after 26 hours of travel to find a wonderful, clean, and comfortable room. Al and Les were perfect hosts; it felt like they welcomed us into their home like family. We only stayed here two nights, but we were made very welcome. Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable. The breakfasts were cooked fresh for each guest as per our order placed the previous night. Les was very helpful with information about York without being intrusive of our holiday and we enjoyed our stay here more
