Stayed at this hotel on three occasions - we found the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are very OK - we will go back - having suffered other dreadful York hotels to our dismay and disgust. I had a very nice single room, surprisingly large, nicely decorated, and up-to-date. I had a small problem with the television, and the man was up to fix it within five minutes. The hotel is a fairly easy walk (about ten minutes) from the rail station, even with baggage, and convenient to the city center and main tourist attractions. more
