This place definitely tries really hard. Unfortunately, for me, it was just too much bad graffiti on the walls and cocktail tricks at the bar. Title says it all. Room was compact & clean, the location was perfect for exploring within York's city walls, but it is above one of the busier bars and was loud til 2am.
