We stayed here last February (2009). I booked the B&B as a treat for my Wife's birthday, based on the other reviews I had read on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. Our room was lovely and we had a good view of the abbey ruins and the sea. We could sit in the window and just gaze out at... more

Everything about this guesthouse is good. The place is very clean and comfortable. The decor is attractive and just a little bit quirky. The proprietors are most welcoming and very keen to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast was very good. All in all, everything you could ask for in an B&B. We'd definitely stay here again if in Whitby. more

We've just come back from a 3 night stay at the Seaview Guest House, which we booked on the strength of the excellent reviews it had received on TripAdvisor and I'm so glad we did! We had room 7 which was large and comfortable with stunning views over the harbour entrance and Whitby Abbey. It was lovely and clean and... more

No need to look elsewhere - this B&B doesn't disappoint. As the name implies, the position just above the harbour provides good views and means that you are just 5 minutes walk from the Magpie Cafe and other pubs and restaurants by the water. The ensuite room was very comfortable and main highlight was the breakfast which was top-notch, made... more

We were fortunate to stay at the Seaview with hosts Brian and Abby for 2 memorable nights including 2 most enjoyable breakfasts! We were recommended the Seaview by friends in Australia and were very pleased with their advice. Parking was easy to find and we left our car just around the corner for the 2 days we stayed as all... more

Brian & Abby are great hosts,The Room was gorgeous, art deco touches give it a real point of difference. Brian's home made treats were scrumptious .the parkin in our room ,a vast array of hot drinks & the offer of Champagne for our room were just a few of the things that show how Brian & Abby go the extra mile.... more

I wrote a review of this B and B a few years back and have been visiting it ever since. It certainly was time to re emphasise what a marvelous B and B this is. I’m sure that it doesn’t require the brownie points, because anyone who stays at the Seaview will definitely stay again. Just to sum it up:... more

A little bit awkward to get at due to the one-way system. Beautiful view from front door and front rooms - sea and Abbey. A welcoming greeting on arrival. Room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. Drinks tray well stocked, including Brian's delicious parkin. I was able to park the car very close on arrival and... more
