We recently stayed at Sandpiper House for our anniversary weekend and had a wonderful time. Peter and Manetta went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely stay and an extra special anniversary. The quality of the rooms, cleanliness and customer service are excellent. I can also highly recommend the breakfast!! I would most definitely return to... More

This lovely B&B is a great place to stay if taking a 'couples' break in Whitby. We have just been for a two night mid-week break and it was perfect. Very well priced for the services provided and it was a pleasure to come back to at this time of year after a full day out exploring the area. The... More

Had a great weekend in Whitby and a lot of that was down to Pete and his excellent B&B. We stayed in one of his apartments and it was a perfect base for spending a couple of days in this great seaside town. The apartment and the rooms were furnished and equipped to a very high standard and we felt... More

Just arrived home after a 50 mile bike ride from Scarborough to Whitby on the disused railway with a one night stop in Whitby. After looking over many B&B's we decided on the Sandpiper. How lucky we were. The Sandpiper is the BEST B&B I have stayed in. Believe me because of my job I've seen plenty. Great reception even... More

The owner Pete went out of his way to help us with our visit. The rooms were very well equipped and clean and tidy. Breakfast was top class full English with varied choice with cerials, fresh juices, numerous rounds of toast and teas. Would definately recommend. More

We thought we'd booked a twin room through the website but on arrival were given a superking room. Apparently, the twin room can only be booked for a long stay but we can't find anywhere where it states this. There were no towels in the room when we arrived and we tried every way we could think of, including ringing... More
