Stayed for one night on Sat 26 May. My Wife and I stayed for just one night but we would have loved to have stayed much longer. The four poster room that we stayed in was immaculate with lots of special touches. We also had a spectacular sea view from our room. There was an exceptional choice for breakfast which... More

My wife and I had a 3 night break in May, in room 23. Absoloutely lovely double room with bath and shower. Spotlessly clean and with super sea views. Breakfast choice is huge and freshly cooked to your order. Freshly squeezed orange or apple juice as well as various cereals. The honesty bar is a bargain, ( I ran a... More

Having read some of the negative reviews on this website, can't believe we stayed at the same place. The location was unbeatable with everything within easy walking distance the room was clean and well turned out with excellent views, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly and obliging, the owners were deeply concerned that our stay was a good one... We stayed in the four poster room which we felt was very over priced at £120 .I was disappointed that we didnt have a bath only a very small shower which my partner couldnt turn around in...the bed although a four poster was only a double and again although comfortable, too small. We had to boil the kettle three times as... I am sorry you thought it overpriced. You paid £120 and £10 is a supplement for a 1 night stay mainly for the full laundry change, the longer the stay the cheaper per night price.. Okay i say try somewhere else next time but I think you may struggle to get a 1 night booking on a Saturday night. As... More

Not sure which room you stayed in although it was clearly another 1night stay with a £10 supplement. Thanks for stating the room was excellent, nice touches in the room, mini bar (although you did not state it was free), no bath just a shower, very clean, wonderful view (the best from any B&B in Whitby), friendly owner. I do... More

Just got back from a weekend with my girlfriend at the Sanbeck, we didn't know it was the Goth weekend but this just made the stay even better as we met some great people. Kay and the girls could not be more helpful and we thank them for their hospitality, we stayed in room 21 and it was both spacious... More

Didn't think that room 3 was value for money, there was very little space to get past between the bed and the dressing table [ more bruises ] as space from the room was allocated to room 4's en-suite. I was expecting a really nice room as this was advertised as a boutique B&B, the en-suite was really nice but... More

Again as we have a lot of satisfied guests passing through it is not easy to determine which guest it is or the price you paid. Room 3 has a brand new bathroon fully tiled with a spacious walk in shower. It is well decorated and one of our most popular rooms as people love sitting in the big armchairs... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sandbeck for the November 2011 Gothic weekend and could not fault it at all. Our room (I forget the number) was clean and spacious, with a modern (and equally clean) bathroom. The honesty bar was well stocked and comfortable, and the breakfasts were also very good and there was a great variety to... More
