We have just had an excellent weekend at this lovely guesthouse with restaurant. We booked The Orchard Suite consisiting of a lovely lounge area with french windows to a private patio on the ground floor, and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The bathroom was superb, free standing bath tub and an electric walk in shower. As you enter the lounge,... More

Everything was perfect about this place. Excellent room with brilliant ensuite. Very warm and relaxing. Liked watching the only early morning train go past. Not too far out of village, a three minute drive or 10 minute walk. Lots of parking. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Only thing wrong, thought dining room was a bit too dark but would certainly... More

Broom House is a lovely peaceful place to stay for a romantic time away. It is a little off the beaten track but the surrounding countryside is beautiful. More

Two nights in March proved a real treat in Broom House although I have to admit to a sense of trepidation when making the reservation as the booking pages seem to emphasise the non refundable elements of the payment to such an extent that you feel like you're somehow walking into a financial trap. Arrival, however, puts pay to any... More

Stayed at Broom House for one night in transit while travelling around Yorkshire. What can I add to comments already made, accommodation & food were excellent my only regret was not staying longer. The Cottage suite was clean, warm. Staff were very helpful & welcoming. Would we stay again, most defiantly yes. More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in March. It was wonderful. We stayed in the cottage and it was clean, comfortable and cosy. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. We ate in the restaurant for dinner one evening and it didn't disappoint with good food, a relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. The... More

On arrival, we were served scones and coffee out in the garden - which is really lovely. Room was clean, spacious and pleasantly decorated. Evening meal was tasty, though it was a bit dark in the dining room. Breakfast was good, and the healthy smoothy of the day was a nice touch. More

Exceptionally clean and well-appointed small hotel, providing a luxurious yet comfortable home from home for a short stay. Our suite was light and spacious, with dual aspect windows over the gardens. Great excitement at how close the Esk Valley Railway was (not to be confused with NYMR), and the opportunity to see this little local line in action from time... More

We booked in for a night whilst touring North Yorkshire and were not disappointed. Quiet out of the way location right in the middle of the moors. Warm wlecome and large well appointed room. Lovely view over the garden and one of the best breakfasts I've eaten anywhere in the world (and I've been around!). Ate at the local pub... More

Great countryside location but not too far from local village ( good pub with good food) & well positioed for day trips out. Although the restaurant is fine for breakfast, there is not a great deal of atmosphere for evening meal but the staff are good & the food is excellent. More
