rude and discourteous. we went in the tea room and s aid the water was cold among ourself and the waitress was fairlly aggressive when we left. The lights were switched out but we were not told they were closing.

We arrived late at night while walking the Cleveland Way. Very clean room and bathroom literally on the steps down from the Abbey on the route. Fantastic view over the harbour from the bed in the morning. Great place to stay !

we stayed at Abbey steps for 1 night last year and absolutely loved it. The view from the bedroom was lovely. The owners make you very welcome, breakfast was great. We are planning to go back very soon

Its not B and B now you just pay for the room, but thats no prob as cafe below does breakfast. As usual the bedrooms are spotless and so comfortable with fantastic view from your bed.
