I stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this to anyone. Comfortable, clean and great value. I had high expectations when I went and it exceeded all of them. Have already booked my next trip.

Once again my friends and I have spent the weekend at The Waverley in Whitby and once again we had a memorable time .The hospitality we received from Tania and David was second to none. It is so homely, and nothing is too much trouble to them. We spend this weekend at Whitby in May to attend a Linedancing weekend... More

This is a very friendly, welcoming guest house. Tania and David are lovely. The rooms have lots of extra touches such as binoculars to study the beautiful view. The toiletries are very nice and cotton wool and tissues are provided. The room was very quiet and the beds very comfortable. We couldn't fault this guest house. We highly recommend The Waverley.

This is not just an empty phrase. We had a very warm welcome. Our room was large and quiet and all facilities had been excellent. Our full Yorkshire breakfast and omelette were great. Tania and David had been perfect hosts during our five nights stay in Whitby. And we left as friends.

We had a fantastic May bank holiday stay at The Waverly! Nothing was to much trouble for either David or Tania, they even found us a place to park the car!! You may enter as strangers but (as the sign says) leave as friends. They really do know how to make you feel welcome and always take time out to... More

This is a lovely friendly B &B! Nice sunny room with ensuite, The owners are really nice and upgraded me at no cost as they were not full. They provide a very nice breakfast. The thing that I will remember most is the trouble they took to make sure I enjoyed my stay! Great location and the owners were very... More

Have just spent 2 nights at the Waverley. From arrival to departure everything was first class. We stayed in Room 5 which was spotless and spacious with a king size bed that was so comfortable. Couldn't fail to notice the attention to detail all around the guest house. Even had fresh flowers put in room which was a lovely touch.... More

It's a pity we were only staying 1 night at the Waverley. From arrival to leaving everything was purfect. We had a warm welcome from David, who showed us to our room on the top floor. The room was a good size with a fantastic view over Whitby and the Abbey ruins. Tania was on duty for breakfast and was... More
