Gothic House is an architectural delight in a quiet corner of an interesting city. Informative host Clive has anticipated his guests' every need, and breakfast features locally sourced treats like excellent yogurt and marmalade. Antique china adorns the walls, as do pictures of ocean liners: a subject on which Clive has published several works. The bed was very comfortable, with... More

We can fully endorse all the positive reviews on this site. Loved the quirky house with its quirky (in a nice way) cat. Location, conversation, bed, breakfast and decor all of the highest order. Perfect pub nearby (real ale, bar billiards) and any number of cinemas and restaurants just minutes from the door. An excellent, civilised B&B in the centre... More

Gothic House is perfectly located right in the city centre but surprisingly peaceful and quiet, and is ideal for exploring the delights of Norwich. The whole place has a deliciously quirky appeal with wonderful eclectic collections of antiques and knick-knacks, and Clive is a very helpful, attentive and charming host. We enjoyed staying in a lovely old-fashioned and tastefully decorated... More

A super house full of interesting facts and pieces, tucked away in an unassuming location. We stayed in the bright dual aspect king double room where we were very comfortable. Clive was a welcoming and attentive host and the breakfast was tasty and used good ingredients. The good quality robes provided in the rooms were a nice touch. Khmer the... More

Gothic House is a truly fantastic period property located in the heart of Norwich. The attention to detail is second to none and Clive is a lovely and attentive host for whom nothing is too much trouble. A simply wonderful B&B that we could not recommend highly enough! Sam and Kirsten More

Breakfasts were delicious and we fell in love with Kymer the kitten! Comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom. Would highly recommend Gothic House to anyone planning... More

Clive could not have been more hospitable. Even before we arrived I was making demands and all my requests were met in a warm and friendly manner. We were in Norwich for my daughter's graduation and Clive very kindly said that we could arrive early in the afternoon and make use of the bedroom and bathroom facilities so that we... More

Gothic House in the historic centre of Norwich, just a five minute walk from the cathedral is a delight. It's a beautifully decorated 18th century home, furnished with exquite taste. Clive the owner, has put a great deal of thought into his guests' comfort, with a cafetiere and fluffy dressing gowns in the bedrooms, wonderfully comfortable beds and a delicious... More

Up here with work, it's not always easy finding a great B&B that accepts just one night guests. Nut Clive did, he made the stay great and I'm relaxed. Thanks for great attention to detail. More
