My husband and I booked into this hotel for one night as we were celebrating his birthday in London and were having a rare night away from the children. Having read other reviews, we weren't expecting much, but were very pleasantly surprised. My husband checked in around 5pm and the staff welcome was satisfactory, neither rude nor particularly friendly. We...

first off the room in TINY, I mean like you need to turn sideways to get out of the room tiny and yes you do hear everything and yes there is no LIFT which makes for quite the obstacle on your first night there BUT, the price is good, the location is excellent the room was clean. We stayed in...

This is a very basic hotel, the bedrooms are very poor with partition dividing a large bedroom to make two, this results in hearing every single noise. The bathroom is very basic and as with the bedroom needs complete refurbishment. For an extra £5 you can stay at a much better hotel in this area.

I happened to need to stay in Central London on a day that literally every hotel was fully booked and ended up staying here. It was just awful in every single way.
The "bathroom" was the size of a broom cupboard, the shower was actually in the room and you couldn't walk around the bed as it was against the...

Bad points. Single room is on fifth floor, no lift and garunteed to wake the occupants on floors 3 and 4 as the stairs are very noisy and the fire doors slam shut. Arrived 11:30 in evening and wanted a shower. Light didn't work in the only shower on 5 floors. Picture of single room on internet shows a chest...

I've spent with my wife 4 nights in this hotel. Our plan was to find a cheap solution in the London center near tube stations and restaurants.
This hotel fits our needs!
Pro: 3 tube stations at less than 15 minutes. Many cheap or interesting restaurant in the area. Hotel staff ready to provide any kind of answer or help....

Okay, so we aren't looking for the Ritz and we didn't stumble on this like a gold mine. But it has:
A helpful desk assistant
A fine breakfast (especially for kids): fruit, tea and coffee, cold cereal, toast etc.
A good locale in a quiet neighborhood and only a few blocks from a major road with restaurants (Subway, pizza, fast...

My husband and I stayed in a double en-suite room during our week long stay. Some people like to stay at fancy hotels and take advantage of their gym, pool, spa, restaurants, etc., but that's not us...we aren't travelling thousands of miles to another country to do all that when we can do it at home in our own city....

I'm not one for fancy hotel rooms and travel to London every now and then for Gigs and days out, usually a hotel is just a place to sleep overnight so as not to travel back in the evening after an exhausting day. As long as it's clean and comfortable I'm happy.
Unfortunately I think we were in the worst...
