This review is being written by the hostel's internet connection (?), actually after many tries I finally got access (high overload on a 2mbit connection (lol)). The staff in the hostel is quite helpful, but the whole scene doesn't seem ideal. We arrived at the hostel, we were asked to pay the remaing amount for our booking and then we... more

I thought I was crazy to travel to London alone but I recommend it anyone now! Here are my findings: 1. arrived at Heathrow and ride was about 30 min to hostel on the piccadilly line, which was about 4GBP. then i bought an unlimited zone 1 and 2 pass about 25GBP and was worth it. tube system was amazing... more

Sometimes, it's better to stay in a less expensive but more cosy hostel. This a personal view, of course. Can't complain about the location or bedrooms. It's clean and the breakfast was pretty good, even with some mould in some pieces of bread. The issue was really the mood in it - and sometimes that little (huge!) thing can be... more

This place is okay if you can keep yourself to yourself. Very clique people, who I found were'nt so trusting. A bit dodgey. But you'll be okay if you're with friends. It's a hostel, and you're here in London to see London. Or enjoy yorself with your friends in the big kitchen. more

We stayed at this hostel in mid March this year. It was our first hostel experience. We stayed in the mixed 12 bedroom dorm. The place was very clean, you can't lock up your luggage unless you take a big lock (maybe the type for a bike or something), but it was completely safe and the people there are very... more

The best part was that there was Free wifi internet in the lobby. It was cool to meet people in the lobby area. There is a TV and people are bringing their laptop downstairs for the internet. Staff were really nice and helpful. 5-10 min walk to the tube station "glucestor road" or "high kennsington" Both are really good area... more

The Astor afforded good clean accomodation in a location which w.as second to none! No frills but what can you expect for the price? If you need a place to lay your head then the Astor is for you and you will be ideally placed to explore all the sights of London. The building is old and gracious but is... more

I recently visited Hyde Park Hostel and I was pleseantly surprised to see it's new make over. I was a guest at this hostel last year and I must say that it was "okay", but with it's new fabolous make over I was super excited. It has over 300 rooms, all the interior has been refurbished, great vibe, great location... more

Astor Hyde Park is a little grungy but if you just need a place to crash in London for one or two nights, it will do. The building is a little old and rundown: the first night I stayed in a large mixed dorm room with warped carpet, a (small) broken window pane, and a faucet that trickled all night... more
