Stayed for two nights and was a bit apprehensive due to mixed reviews. But was pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received and friendly, positive attitude of the staff throughout our short stay. The hotel was being refurbished and we we one of the last customers before closure for a few months to finish this off. The public areas are... More

This was only a one night stay as a treat from my daughter for my 65th birthday. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned but there was no need. It was close to a lot of attractions and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The comfiest beds and goose down duvets and pillow that I have... More

This hotel should either be closed or renovated thoroughly. It is not worth $90 a night. There is no elevator service. Rooms are tiny and dilapidated and the place looks generally run down. In the US a hotel like this may cost in the order of $35 a night if you have the stomach to sleep in it. More

This hotel is totally misrepresented by the web site and Capital Breaks who we booked with . The whole place smells strongly of damp , the carpets are stained and threadbare .The room we given had awful black mould on the walls , rotten windows , light fitting hanging off the wall and the wash basin was cracked . The... More

This place is horrendous to put it mildly, filthy dirty, shabby. Our room was freezing in the basement, the bathroom with boarded up windows, it stank of stale sweat, cigarettes, had not been vacuumed. The floors ceilings were dfilthy with stains, mould and the carpets torn, stained as was the chair. The wiring was beyond belief. A tiny 14" Beko... More

Booked this hotel for New Years Eve as a Christmas present for my girlfriend and was embarrassed by the state it was in. Half the front of the building is covered in scaffold and noise from the construction could be heard throughout the hotel. The carpets are worn, windows are single glazed with a rotting frame, room was tiny (Room 203),you could... More

This was simple horrible. The room was part of a theatre/hotel deal. The small room was dirty and there was a sick-stain on the greasy carpet. There was mould in the bathrom with a brown stains around the chipped bath. The walls were three tone - old cream, newish cream and dirty! No heating except for electric heaters and a... More

We were booked in to this hotel as part of a one night London theatre break. We had not been advised when we booked that half the hotel is currently being completely renovated so there are workmen walking around everywhere lots of dust and plenty of noise! We were give a room on the first floor, overlooking the road and... More

Absolutely appalling! We arrived, entrance and reception area clean, got taken to our room via the ripped carpets on the stairs and hallway, starting to look shabby at this point. Got into room that was freezing cold, radiators. It working there was plug in heater in room, on full, still cold! Room was horrid, cigarette burns, stains all over carpet,... More
