We had a pleasant one night stay here for a good price. The staff are very friendly and polite which is always good and breakfast was fine. The hotel is just 100 yards down a side road so beautifully quite yet easy to get to the tube for access anywhere across London. The room was compact but the bed was... More

A "nice" hotel - lovely public reception rooms, stylish and comfortable and the staff were excellent. Stayed on 4th floor, as others have commented the room was snug, small but just about adequate, everything provided that you need. Very heavy curtains, piping hot water and lovely fluffy white towels. However, the bathroom was very tired and in need of refurbishment.... More

If you are looking for a pleasant relaxing stay in London then in my view this hotel should be considered. It is in an excellent location for getting around London, close to the Gloucester Road tube – District, Circle and Piccadilly Lines tube - yet in quiet enough an area to get some sleep. Being an old London terraced building... More

I stayed her with my mom when she came to visit me in London. Having lived in London for the 2 prior months, I was used to the smaller living spaces and therefore was not surprised by the size of our room. So be aware to those who do not like small spaces. We shared a room with 2 twin... More

We stayed at this hotel before approx 5 years ago and found it very satisfactory so we decided to stay again as it is ideally placed with easy access for the tube, sights & shopping. When we arrived it looked like nothing had been touched since our last visit ie, decor and carpets. We were given room number 5 on... More

Ive read lots of reviews of this hotel and a lot of what they say is true. However I've now stayed here on 4 occasions and will stay again. It's location is brilliant (for me anyway). On the picadilly line for Heathrow travellers. It is very close to the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, the Vic & Albert,... More

The location of this hotel was excellent for us. It was very easy to access via Gloucester Rd tube station on arrival and the short walk back to the station and the Piccadilly Line made it easy to get to Heathrow on departure. Gloucester Rd also has good value restaurants. Our room was small but comfortable and clean. We felt... More

While my friend had a major plumbing issue, management followed up on it. I had no issues. Small rooms. Some mentioned bad service but simply everyone I met working there was nice. Desk, housekeeping, concierge, the works. Elegant, but not luxury. Location is great. Breakfast was fine. No gym, and they usually charge for internet access. A few things could... More

I quite enjoyed my stay. I just wish I had found this gem sooner. I had booked this room from Heathrow as I had missed my flight back to the States and wanted to stay in the city for the extra day to be closer to the shops/attractions (spent too much time traveling back and forth from the Edwardian near... This is a small, high-service hotel in the heart of the museum district of central London, around the corner from the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the V&A, and Imperial College. The ambiance is slightly faded Victoriana, which suits the area perfectly. The common areas -- library, bar, study -- are wonderfully atmospheric. The rooms are quite small, but... More
