Stuffy and pretentious rooms in three converted old mansions in Soho. This place feels like a grandmother's B&B, not a top notch hotel. There may have been a time when Hollywood stars found this place quaint and hip. But that must have been twenty-five years ago. Not anymore. Today, you will find that Hazlitt's is an overpriced and uninteresting tired... More

I highly recommend this hotel! Location: So close to Covent Gardens with all the restaurants, theaters and shops. Also, short walking distance to the Underground. If you don't mind walking a bit, it is very accessible to Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. I went for a run every morning. One day to Buckingham Palace. The next day to... More

The men at the desk are wonderful. Service with charming smiles. Room, quaint, but quiet and comfortable, yet it's in the heart of Soho, with everything nearby. They lack a kitchen for breakfast service, but you can order a limited room service. It is served "Promptly" upon request . I'd stay here again without hesitation! Hazlitt's is romantic , safe,... I am returning guest - and it's just pure luxury to sit by the fireplace after a long workday, pick a drink from the honesty bar and then go upstairs to have a shower with complimentary Ren cosmetics. Not to mention that the Hazlitt's is not only the perfect home away from home, but right in the epicentre of Soho.... More

From check-in to checkout 2 days later, this hotel was excellent. Excellent breakfast served to the room for £11.95 per person, a fully stocked honesty bar in the library, big, comfortable rooms and v friendly, professional staff. Hope to be back soon. Just across the road from Ronnie Scott's too.

Hazlitts is like no other hotel I've ever stayed in. To be honest, it's more like staying in a very brand private home. Service is completely discreet and unobtrusive, but there for anything you need. The rooms are splendidly characterful, luxurious and idiosyncratic. We stayed in the Jonathan Swift room, which boasted a fine painting of the man himself, a... More

We had heard a lot about this boutique hotel and were really looking forward to spending a couple of nights here. We are very familiar with the area and knew that the location was perfect for us. Check in was very efficient and the guys on reception were friendly and were interested enough to ask if we had any specific... More

This is a great hotel that pays attention to every detail of comfort and sophistication during your stay. We booked three rooms, and all were charming, and cozy, clean and comfortable.. There are drawing rooms, to retire to. if you don't want to go to your room. The front staff are so friendly and helpful, especially Carl and Matt who... More

This was our third visit and we upgraded for a special birthday. As it was we were upgraded again to the Duke of Monmouth suite which was sensational. On two floors with a stunning bath in the bedroom and an upstairs sitting room opening on to a terrace with a remote control glass roof. Despite the inclement weather we had... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Hazlitt's occupies a group of historic Georgian houses in Frith Street, off Soho Square. In 1718 there were no modern conveniences, but we have updated the plumbing, installed bathrooms and replaced most of the candles with electricity. At Hazlitt’s our philosophy is simple. We have set out to create the kind of accommodation we ourselves would love to find in the heart of one of the World’s great cities. Civilised surroundings; old fashioned hospitality; friendly efficient service; a location away from the roar of traffic, but within a very short walk of the most important attractions. ... more   less
