This is a corporate hotel where busy people come and go and keep pretty much to themselves. The building is grand, majestic. The reception area is elegant and impressive but not very inviting, lacking warmth. It seems to me as if the staff does not want you to linger in the hallway, as soon as you step in from outside... I booked my hotel as an I prefer.com member from the USA. There are no photos of the room, and you are generally offered a room upgrade when availability. This was not available on check in although I was able to upgrade after two days. The room rates are very expensive due to location however the room I was given... More

Not part of the Marriott chain anymore, but nothing has changed. Still great rooms and service. The hotel looks like a small Palace. Short walking distance to Westend and major shopping. Our hotel in the last five times in London-would not try anything else. More

Perfect location for exploring London, the courtyard setting is tranquil despite the central location. Hotel is high quality with good facilities and the bedrooms are reasonably big, if a little underwhelming for a 5* hotel. Breakfast is excellent if you have a B&B rate; but at £26, you'll go to Costa or Pret if you're room only. Gym is small... More

We stayed on a Saturday night to enjoy a performance at the Royal Opera House and the hotel is very convenient for that and Covent Garden etc. it is near the Royal Courts and is a very peaceful oasis from the hustle of the busier tourist filled streets nearby. The hotel has a very sophisticated and elegant ambience - the... More

I booked the hotel through my company not knowing much about it other than it is close to the Tube. I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived by this grandiose beautiful hotel. I was even more surprised by the size of the room. It was huge in Europe standard and tastefully decorated with high ceiling. Very clean and huge... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The room was massive. The furniture was old fashioned as some have said but I think it was meant to be, invoking the Edwardian era. Breakfast was great The situation good for British museum, covent garden and the city. We had a large comfortable bed. Toiletries OK, not fantastic. They might consider upgrading them.... More

We booked this hotel from priceline. It was said to be a 5 star hotel and I wanted something special for the family vacation. When I walked into the room the furniture was very old fashion and Id say over 10 years old. I've stayed at many 4 star hotel that are much nicer. There is noway this hotel is... More

It has been a very pleasant experience staying at the Chancery Court Hotel, huge room, comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom. Upon arrival with a cab our door was opened by the hotel staff and we were friendly greeted by the receptionist who even spoke our language. The Check-In process was easy and hassle free. The lobby is huge and it had... More

Great hotel near Holborn tube. Super restaurant 'The Pearl' too. The hotel is currently being refurbished (not that this affected us) so the rooms will, I imagine, be even better next time! More
