Together with my husband and my 4 year old son, I stayed at the Melita House Hotel from the 5-9th June 2013. Hotel was very clean, all the staff were very caring and helpful and breakfast was very good. Our room had a double bed and a single bed, with the balcony and it was very comfortable and clean as... I'm very surprised by some recent unhappy comments here. This doesn't sound like the same hotel I stayed in for 2 nights in May. We had a twin room which was of ample size - I have had similar sized rooms at greater expense in other London hotels. Melita House Hotel was spotlessly clean and tidy, the breakfast area small... A double room not much bigger than a broom cupboard, no cold water and a bath towel the size of an oversized flannel all added up to make this a less than perfect two day trip to theatre land. When combined with a breakfast room not much bigger than the aforesaid cupboard and breakfast portions from the Oliver Twist cookery... More

We are sorry to hear these guests didn’t enjoy their stay. Upon inspecting the room after check-out we didn’t find any issues with the cold water. The guests didn’t inform us about this during their stay. Each room is provided with a set of bath and hand towels. In this case, the bath towels were not in the room. Again,... More

Two nights in the Melita in a room that would make Harry Potters cupboard under the stairs look big! Had to move things to do anything! Very claustrophobic. Positives was it was clean. Dining room diminutive but staff pleasant. Breakfast not plentiful.

The staff were friendly and did all they could to make a bad situation better Terribly overpriced; not enough space to feed all guests at breakfast at the same time; no room in shower to stand up (hand held shower in bath) without banging your head; masking tape (and not even neatly stuck) around door to block out drafts; general... I stayed in London for 4 nights and stayed at this hotel, simply because of closeness of Victoria station. Hotel room was single and extremely small, I dare to say even claustrophobic. Breakfast options were very limited and not very satisfying. On top of everything, I had to pay 10 GBP for 24 hours of usage the WiFi (which by... More

Stayed here for a week recently. Hotel was selected by my work due to convenient location and price. For this area of London the price is excellent and the location enabled me to walk to work in Whitehall all week! The rooms are a little small and a little over heated but otherwise comfortable and clean. The Internet is not... More

We stayed in Melita House Hotel for four nights, and the first thing we noticed was, that the room is quite small. Small, but sufficient and tidy. It didn't really bother us, since we didn't come all the way to London just to watch TV in our hotelroom. We had a comfortable bed with big pillows and a quiet neighborhood,... More

This hotel was booked for me by the travel company that organise my business travel and accommodation. I had asked for a hotel close to Victoria which this is. I arrived at 11.30pm and was shown to a room in the basement. The room smelt and had a vinyl floor covering, the sort I would expect in a kitchen, but... More

We are sorry this guest didn't get the room he had hoped for. We don't have vinyl flooring anywhere. The lower floors have wood laminate flooring which is both attractive and favoured by people with allergies. He did at least admit he was below par and didn't make his observations at the time.
