We are just returned home from this hotel. Would repeat what others have said about good location, near to tube, rooms changed daily and generally clean enough etc., but our experience was very poor. Windows at front of hotel need urgent attention one of our rooms the window handles were broken completely and could not be shut. The shower heads... More

I stayed here as it was convenient for work and travelling on via Waterloo. I've stayed before so knew what to expect - small room, tiny tv, paper thin walls, long waits at check-in and for lifts, hard beds, thin pillows, crunchy towels and bad lighting.

Perfect location, less than 2 minutes walk from Russell Square underground station and 10 minutes to Euston under/overground. Rooms were standard hotel-rooms, but good. The English breakfast was great. It was included when the room was booked through Imperial Hotels own website/reception. Continental was included for everyone else, and you could upgrade to English breakfast for around £5 per person.... More

You get for what you pay for with this hotel. The location is great but don't expect luxuries. It's a big hotel with 500 rooms plus and so you don't get excellent service, but on the other hand we had no complaints (apart from a cold breakfast and having to share a table with other guests.

You get what you pay for I guess. The hotel is OK, but nothing more. The bed is hard and uncomfortable and the rooms are very tight, we crashed into one another all the time trying to get around in the room. The rooms arn't really that small, but just badly planned I guess. The english breakfast is very poor,... More

Spent the weekend at this hotel. (17th May) This was our second stay here. The President Hotel is in a good location for Covent Garden and Theatreland and walking distance from Euston and Kings X Stations. The rooms are clean but a bit dated, with the most horrendous prints on the wall..Art work it certainly is not... The shower has... More

stayed at the president as part of a theatre ticket package, arrived around lunch time and unexpectedly were able to get into our room straight away. The room was a little bit tired but clean, no shower gel or shampoo in the room only bars of soap also no hair dryer, these had to be obtained from reception after leaving... More

Opinion seems to vary greatly as far as this hotel is concerned. As is often the case, I believe some people pay budget prices expecting luxury and this seems to form the basis of some of the negative reviews. This is basic hotel in all aspects, I have stayed there on 3 separate occasions and I have had no complaints,... More

I've stayed here twice, a few years ago. The first was for three weeks. I had a single room which was located on the top floor. Room was small but perfect for one person. Continental breakfast was located in a room a few floors down, which was perfect as I'd stuck up before I did my galavanting. Second time was... More

When we travel to the big cities we tend to look for, location rather than luxury and the Presidential has this. Superb location, very close to Russell Square Tube Station and plenty of eateries around the Hotel. The room we had was neat and clean, the bed very comfortable. We had a bit of street noise but being so tired... More
