We love The Covent Garden Hotel! We stayed here years ago and hoped it would live up to our memory of it. It definitely has. We stayed in room 105, a wonderfully comfortable and beautiful room with a terrific bed and well equipped bathroom. Lots of water pressure and good bath products and--amazing--a powerful hair dryer with a focus head.... More

What a lovely hotel! The location is perfect for walking to the British Museum, theaters and shops and restaurants. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Room 310 was filled with light, had windows that opened and although one set of windows looked across to another building, the other set were framed by trees. Both the room and bathroom were warm and... More

It was our 1st trip to London, so we had a lot to do! The location of this hotel allowed us to walk to everywhere we needed to go. And when we were tired, we just took the tube, with Leicester Square and Covent Garden as stops that are equidistant to the hotel. We had a jr suite, which was... More

This was our 6th and 7th stay at this beautiful hotel. We stayed for 5 nights at the beginning of May and then again for 3 nights at the end of May both times in a Deluxe Room. When we arrived for our first stay it was very obvious that there was work going on to the building from all... More

This was our fifth time at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. They upgraded us to a suite. The rooms are large and comfortable anyway, but the suite is amazing. Service is impeccable. The location is perfect. This is our favorite place to stay in London and one of our favorites in the world.

This is my home-away-from-home in London. The people are the nicest, with the personal touch at every turn -- keeping track of your favorite rooms, what you like (in my case, quiet), helping with the little things, remembering you from one stay to the next. The facility itself is lovely. The rooms are tastefully done in a creative way, but... More

I recently traveled to the UK, I am currently working in Lagos for a Nigerian company and cannot believe the quality of service received at The Covent Garden Hotel. You can hardly tell that a 5star Hotel is hiding behind such walls... The moment you step in and get greeted by the Doorman/Concierge you know you have stepped in somewhere... More

After seeing the outside tables jammed full on the previous warm Friday evening, we celebrated a birthday afternoon tea in the restaurant of this absolutely charming hotel next day and wished we had booked to stay. The staff were highly attentive, the decor decoratively soothing, the food stylishly filling and atmosphere subtly intoxicating. We loved it and will come back... More

We stayed here for two nights last weekend and yet again is was prefect in every way. The welcome is always warm and friendly, the staff really do make this place special. Warmly greeted by the doorman at my arrival who couldn't have been more helpful throughout my stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated and loved the room they gave me which was exceptional and very quiet. The chocolates they left were also a nice touch. Restaurant is very nice with a beautiful bar for drinks. Very central location which was great... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
