We stayed here for one night whilst on a break in Liverpool. It was a really nice, modern hotel, lots of natural wood/exposed brick and metal plus nice fittings, even if some of it was a bit "Ikea". It was a special occasion weekend, and I asked for a room with a view, and what a view we were given....over the Georgian rooftops across the city to the Mersey beyond. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet and beautifully equipped with high quality furniture and fittings. The staff were friendly and attentitive, and the atmosphere in the bar relaxed... more

We were visiting Liverpool for my Partners Birthday and decided on Hope Street following a friends recommendation. The Room: We upgraded to a suite, with a Bathroom on a Mezzanine level. We checked in and were shown to the room by a friendly receptionist. The room itself was very nice, if a litle bit tired. Think it could be ready... more

Really loved this hotel - relaxed, great location, great staff, really nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Would recommend it and look forward to staying again. Only minor quibble, which another reviewer has mentioned, is that there is no decent lighting in either the bathroom or bedroom to put make-up on. But that is so minor it's hardly worth mentioning. This hotel is spot on! Modern, immaculate, well designed interior, calm, relaxing and friendly staff...particularly in the restaurant and bar. Good location for The Everyman Theatre, and only a short walk to the docks. more
Loved the Hope Street Hotel. Having stayed in boutique hotels around the world, this one hits all the right notes. The whole place oozes understated sophistication whilst being comfortable and ambient. The reception team were a delight - nothing was too much trouble and they were very knowledgeable about what to do/see/eat while we were there. The London Carriage Works... more
we stayed in the hope street hotel when we went to liverpool for the liverpool-burnley game on 12 sept 2009. it is a really pretty hotel....lots of wood and brick and lots of character. it has a very warm earthy feel to it and is very comfy. location wise it could do better but taxis in liverpool are cheap so... more
Decided to go here, in my home city, for our 2nd anniversary. Arrived to be upgraded to a suite. It was excellent. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We then decided to eat in the restaurant, again excellent presentation and quality with service to match. The stay, whilst short, was great. I stayed at this hotel recently for a wedding. After reading some of the negative reviews on this website my partner and I were apprehensive about what the staff would be like at the hotel.
