The Campanile was exactly what I expected - a clean and average-priced hotel which was fine as a base to stay for a night or two in Liverpool, pretty much the same as a Travelodge or Premier Inn. The hotel is based right at Kings Dock and so is only a 5 mins walk from the Liverpool Echo Arena and... More

I stayed here with a friend for a night out around town and as a bolt hole and a shower it's ok. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting gold taps and marble, but it wasnt what I'd call cheap and for the money paid I was hoping it wouldn't be quite so hostal-esque. Coupled with the most unhelpful male... More

Came to liverpool for the liverpool-manu game so I only needed a place to stay for one night. The hotel's clean, simple, warm. All u need really. There's free wi fi and good range of tv channels. free parking and decent, though a bit limited, menu. Really hard to match for 45 pounds a night. People at the hotel are... More

Stayed here when attending a function in Chapel Street. Just about convenient for Liverpool One but needed a taxi to get to evening destination. Agree with other reviewers that more of a Motel than a Hotel and the rooms are in need of modernisation as bits were missing here and there. But it all worked. Could not fault the staff though... Stayed here for work, it's a bit tired and certainly basic - but had no problems during the stay. My room was ground floor looking onto the carpark and windows didn't look like they'd be hard to break into, but as said no problems at all - feels more like a motel than a hotel. Didn't go to breakfast so... More

Went for a night out in Liverpool next week so looked for a central cheap hotel. The clincher was the fact that the Campanile has its own free car park, something most other city centre hotels don't have. Just a short taxi ride to the action and very warm and cosy room, bathroom a bit basic but the shower was... More

Was in Liverpool for a football match and the travel agent arranged this hotel for us. Fair enough, you can't get your expectations too high if you look at the rates. I've stayed in basic/budget hotels which are decent but this certainly comes to me as below average Plus points:- 1) Location is good. Within 8-10 minutes walking distance to... More

We (2 girls in our mid twenties) stayed here for 1 night in June. We wanted somewhere with parking that was cheap as our intention was to explore liverpool in our mere 24hrs! The hotel was fine for our expections and needs. The hotel is maybe 10-15 mins walk away from the city centre but a nice walk via the... More
