This hotel is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination and we fail to see how it has earned such a rating. Beware when you book this hotel as you are not guarenteed a room. We booked a two bedroomed apartment three days before our arrival. On arrival, as we stood there with the confirmation in our hands, we were told they did not have the apartment available as they thought we wanted one room, . I attended a family wedding at the venue, i was amazed by not only the organization but the execution of the event, all staff, surroundings, and food were exemplary . The nights stay which followed the function was the icing on the cake! Room contemporary and very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the staff once again excelled themselves. more

Fantastic little hotel on the lawns area of lincoln, next to the castle, near to bailgate, close to the cathedral. staff were awesome, helpful, pleasant and knew the local area well, I believewd the hotel had a restaurant which turned out to be not the case but the staff provided an alternative within walking distance- the old bakery was fantastic.... more

Don't stay here if you want a good nights sleep. Nice hotel and grounds spoilt by the function room being immediately beneath the bedrooms. Don't mind functions but would like to be advised of them prior to booking. No point complaining as the proprietor will ignore your emails and letters. more
