We loved the quiet rural location and the really dark night skies. We were given a great welcome, and appreciated the home-made fruit loaf on the tea tray. The underfloor heating was lovely, and the power shower was great, More

...all better than money can buy. Not the easiest place to find, but a delightful family welcome, glorious scenery and the best-designed house (I mean house, rather than stately home or mansion) that I've seen since we visited Chartwell. Mike and Caroline Norcross designed and built it, and there is space and light everywhere, as well as great decor and... More

Lovely couple, superb bedroom and bathroom, tray had cake EVERY DAY. Very quiet, good for walks or just sit and watch the wildlife. Lincoln ten minutes by car or frequent bus service. Pub close by. Will be back in the Spring. More

Caroline Norcross incredibly welcoming and fitted us in at the last minute. Very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and she very kindly booked a table for dinner for us at the local pub. Extremely good value. We plan to return. More

I stayed here last week for 2 nights, I was on my own as I was in the area with work. Caroline made me feel very welcome and even made a cooked breakfast at 06:15am both mornings, the room was fantastic, spacious very clean, tidy and the welcome tray had a nice touch of either chocolate biscuit or slice of... My wife and I were lucky enough to stay at Ryelands House for 4 nights whilst taking a short break in the area and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We stayed in the twin room with ensuite and it has great views over the garden, pond and fields. Caroline, the owner is an excellent hostess, who provided a tea tray every... More

We've stayed at Ryelands twice now and hope to visit again. Our first visit was for one night in October 2008 while attending a family wedding. The second was a longer stay in April 2009 for a family funeral. Caroline and Mike were wonderful hosts and made us feel so comfortable. They were also very kind and helpful during what... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay at Ryelands; Caroline and Mike made us feel very welcome. Our room was large, modern and had a really comfortable bed. It is so quiet on their CLEAN farm that a peaceful nights sleep is guaranteed ; the en suite shower was powerful with consistently hot water and my wife loved... More

What a wonderful location for a B&B. Situated just outside the village of Potterhanworth, this is an ideal location to see the sights of Lincoln. The room was very spacious and well appointed. The host was friendly and knowledgable about the local tourist attractions. The view was magnificent and we really enjoyed watching the abundant wildlife while eating breakfast. Definitely... More

My wife and I stopped at Ryelands House for two nights in May 2007 whilst house hunting in the area. The house is situated in the small village of Potterhanworth which is only 7 miles from Lincoln Cathedral. The large house is modern and stands in the lovely countryside. We immediately felt at home as we were greeted by the... More
