We spent two nights here in a superior room. As noted by other reviewers, finding the hotel was challenging because there is no signage and as the hotel is the former residence of the Bishop it is located in a reasonably secluded spot behind the the Cathedral. The location is very handy as it is within walking distance to the... More

We stayed for two nights at this stunning venue , I must agree with another trip advisor that the hotel Is difficult to find , sat nav got us very close but there were no signs to show where the hotel was , as it was through an arch it would have been impossible to find without talking to the... Our initial impression was not good as we had such trouble finding the hotel. No other reviewers have mentioned this, so I don't know if signage was temporarily missing. The sat nav postcode given did get us round to the back of the hotel, but only in the vicinity and the only sign we ever saw for the hotel was... More

The hotel is in a beautiful setting right in the middle of the City of Lincoln next to the Cathedral. The building is wonderful and still has parts of the Cathedral management in parts of the hotel. The views over the city and beyond are wonderful. The welcome was warmish but this was the middle of a busy bank holiday... More

Entering the enclave through a narrow stone arch set the theme for this hotel. Having dodged a black B-W abandoned just inside the arch we parked. The welcome in the hotel was warm. The room was in a separate building with rows of very old and quiet neighbours from the long past lying outside. The room was well appointed, bed... More

Stayed here for two nights while in Lincoln and situation was perfect for the amazing cathedral and visiting the castle. This hotel is good if you like staying in unusual character properties with little quirky features and don't mind the fact that it as yet does not serve meals except breakfast and has not got a proper lounge bar but... Very impressive hotel. Lovely and quiet with amazing views. My husband and I stayed here with our 8 month old son for our first wedding anniversary as we married in Lincoln. We stayed in The Lodge, which is actually a converted chapel and has lots of character. The bed was comfy with soft pillows and a feather quilt. Bathroom had... More

We stayed for two nights and couldn't have wished for a better experience. The location is superb, extremely quiet and the staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Our standard room had a stunning view of the cathedral while the large and comfortable lounge overlooked the city below - a great place to relax with a drink after a day exploring... More

We stayed in the Tower Suite. The view straight across to the cathedral is particularly inspiring and the sound of the bells is awesome. And the church is very civilized; the bells start at 7AM and finish at 9PM. The rooms are beautifully finished but the bathrooms are small for a high standard hotel. While this was just completed in... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with a group of friends and we were all delighted with the experience. The location is wonderful, our room had stunning views of the cathedral. It has a comfortable lounge which overlooks the city and once settled in there it was hard to move anywhere else! The staff were all very helpful and friendly,... More
