This is probably the most run down hotel I have ever stayed in. Carpets mended with tape, heated towel rail disconnected due to safety, hair in bath, ripped furniture and the cheapest mattress I have ever slept on. Just really run down and cheap. Thank god we only paid £24 to stay,

This is a neglected site possibly because the motorway services building is closed and the area has a Route 66 feel about it, battered/missing old signs boards, overgrown grass areas and a large empty (former services) car park don't help. Usual travelodge but on a disused Moto site so no costa coffee, etc. what sets this above others is the staff, travelodge staff are always friendly and helpful but these even more so. Travelodge really should do something to say thank you to it's staff.
