Stayed here for 2 nights to do some sightseeing and walking in the Lake District. Our room was on the top floor, very well appointed and a bathroom to die for! Excellent breakfast set us up nicely for the walk ahead. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We stayed for2 nights in room 6. Richard and Yvonne were really friendly and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was fantastic with a really good choice....especially the homemade jams. The position of the lodge is perfect for the lake and restaurants as it was so central. We would highly recommend it for a relaxing break.

We stayed 2 nights at Wheatlands. On arrival we were upgraded for free as the the four poster room hadn't been booked for the period we were staying. Very friendly owners meant a welcoming stay.
