During our Dales + Cumbria ways walk we were "forced" by the Bank holiday period to prolong our stay in beautiful but busy Windemere. We were very lucky to find this beautiful villa in the middle of the parkland 1 km from city center, the place, the house, the owners, the great breakfast, eveything concurred to complete the perfect stay.... Had the pleasure of staying in the Guest Room at Lickbarrow Lodge on 3/7/11. Was greeted by Adrian and Elizabeth who showed me to my room before offering me a cuppa. Sat and had a lovely pot of tea and slice of cake in the exquisite grounds of their stunning home. Very welcome and unexpected. The room was beautiful with... More

We stayed at Lickbarrow Lodge for one night in July and have to say we had a wodnerful time. It was just perfect for what we wanted, it is in a perfect place about a 5 minute drive into the centre of Windernere. The Lodge has everything you would need for a short stay, it is lovely and clean, tastefully... More

Had a lovely stay, helped I'm sure by the fabulous weather. Lickbarrow Lodge is a beautiful house, about a mile out of Windermere village. From the house, it's a 30 minute walk, downhill through amazing countryside, to Bowness and all the touristy things; near enough to access everything easily, but far enough away to let you feel like you're away... We have just stayed 2 nights at this superbly renovated Arts & Crafts lodge, just 5 minutes drive from Windermere in the most beautiful countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The studio apartment was very comfortable: a very comfy double bed, a good power shower and an Ikea kitchen hidden away in a cupboard, but with... More

Just relax, and stop your search now. This bed and breakfast is terrific. My husband and I were a little ambivalent about The Lakes in March, but some friends were raving on about the warmth of the welcome, the beauty of the place etc etc, so off we went. Lickbarrow Lodge is a beautifully restored and enhanced Arts and Crafts... More

We had a week stay at Lickbarrow Lodge in the B&B room which had its own entrance hall . It was beautifully furnished. Spotlessly clean, spacious & had everything we needed. The shower was brilliant with overhead, massage jets & hand held spray. The shower room & bedroom had underfloor heating which we were able to control ourselves & there was a heated... More

We stayed in the studio apartment at Lickbarrow Lodge, the other room being a double B&B room. We used the self catering option and so had access to a tiny, cupboard contained, kitchen area. This was small but had everything we needed and you could quite easily cook a meal if you needed to. the double bed was comfortable, not... More
