If you would like to stay at the house like your own house, you had better choose this house. It is very close to windermere station and lots of nice shops and restaturant. And the owner, Mr. David is very kind. He recommend good place to visit and tells you the place not to go. His advice is so useful.... more

For work purposes I was due to stay in gorgeous five star accommodation at the lovely Pullwood Bay. The awful floods meant this was impossible. So, looking for cheap and cheerful b+b came across Brendan Chase. Windermere has lots of fab, uber stylish B+B's, often at a price, which is great , but if you want somewhere to lay your... more

We booked two nights at the Brendan Chase as a break in our journey to Scotland, not having been to the Lake District before. A friend had recommended this guest house to us. We had an en-suite room which was very comfortable. David was extremely friendly and helpful and suggested walks and places to visit in the short time we... more

I have just stayed in this B&B while on a weekends trekking in the Lake district. I must admit that I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews on Tripadvisor, but most B&B's were fully booked so we went with it. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with what I found, after reading the... more

I turned up in Windermere late in the evening looking for B&B. Brendan Chase was not busy and price was good where others were full. Looking at most of the previous reviews I can perhaps understand why. David is not a run of the mill bloke which you might find interesting if you get chatting and you probably have to... more

We chose this B&B because of location and last-minute availability as we had car trouble and needed to stay close to the garage. I should have left after the first rude comment (directed toward me, but I chose to believe it was a joke or a strange sarcasm). This continued throughout the stay. Room was dirty, bedding shabby, David the... more

I tried to book a room in this hotel for 18th april or the 19th. I said I could also stay tghe two days dependant on price - reply was and I quote so you want me to subsidise your holiday? in quite a bored nasty tone. I replied as if it had been a joke and said yes -... more

We came for the weekend and found this place at the last minute. The owner was quite nosy and unprofessional, with little regard for guests' privacy. The room smelled bad, and was freezing at night. The hot tap was a trickle, the carpets were dirty and the walls were like cardboard. We reported the heating problem, and the owner refused... more

We had a very pleasant stay at Brendan Chase and found it an ideal base to tour the surrounding Lake District. Accommodation very comfortable and breakfast highly recommended - the award winning sausages were particularly wholesome! The owner made us very welcome and directed us to good local hostelries and restaurants - nothing was too much trouble for him. Excellent... more
