Rocklea is in a good location for travelling round the lake and a short walk Bowness and Windermere towns. The bed and breakfast was clean and Ian was friendly and welcoming. Rocklea was clean, comfortable, welcoming. Ian and his wife couldn't do enough for us. Full of local knowledge to help us get the best from our stay.Great, as it had a ground floor room for a disabled member of our party, even arranged a wheelchair loan for us. Good hearty breakfast gave us a good start to the day.

Ian was a great host. Extremely friendly and went out of his way to help us out.. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.. A small stream overlooked my window, providing the perfect view. A very surreal experience!

A great location. Leave the car and walk to either Windermere (5 mins) or Bowness (15mins). Nice comfy rooms, ideal for a getaway break, next to an idyllic babbling brook. Lynn and Ian are great hosts and made us feel really welcome. Good breakfasts to set you up for the day and of course plenty to do in the area.... More
