My husband and I travelled for a weekend of camping during mid June. We usually camp in Keswick but though we would have a change of scenery. We loved the campsite. The shop was well stocked and there were only us and 3 other tents in the field (probably due to the torrential rain). A good base to explore ullswater... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Gypsy Wagon. Initially a bit reluctant but it was fabulous! Had a fantastic time. The shower cubicles were great - hot running water, clean and warm. Staff very friendly. You get free fresh breakfast rolls when staying in the gypsy wagon with Cumberland sausage, bacon and fresh eggs - it was delicious -... More

Fantastic location, easy to find and extremely helpful owners. We arrived during April snow to the pods that were nicely warmed up with the heater provided. Amanda was very helpful providing an extra futon mattress as we are a family od five. Our boys were able to play football in the field opposite as there were no campers present. Showers... More

We just spent a few days camping here and overall had a really positive experience. Positives The Location - Just off the A66 but tucked away on a quiet stretch of road so its very easy to find but feels nicely secluded. You are surrounded by huge fells with Blencathra towering over the site. Waking up to breath taking views... More

Spent one night in a camping pod during a cycling tour of the Lake District - a lovely, well maintained campsite. Site is well designed and staff are very helpful - would recommend. The addition of the camping matresses were a welcome site - very comfortable.

Just stayed in a pod and it was fantastic. Really good location just off the A66 near Keswick. Beautiful scenic view from the pods and great access to Ullswater about 15 minutes drive away. Facilities were great, pod had a lamp and a small radiator. Pod was really roomy, mattresses were fine and storage box provided on the small porch.... More

Just returned from a wet easter weekend at Gill Head Farm. Pod was brilliant kept us warm and dry but toilet and shower facilities below the standard experienced at other campsites with pods.
