Stayed for two nights. Clean and warm room. One of us had special dietary needs and they were beyond accommodating. Very helpful in giving directions and ideas for our stay. Breakfast was great as well. Made for a lovely stay. More

I stayed 3 nights over the New Year holiday. The welcome was first class and the hospitality shown by Russell & Marie is perfect. They run a very friendly and efficient establishment which I cannot recommend highly enough. We had a room at the front (with a great view) which is a little tight when moving around the bed due... This was our third trip to Keswick over New Year 2011 and our third stay in the Edwardene with Marie and Russ. We keep going back because we are made to feel welcome every time we stay. This is a large, lakeland slate building (originally two houses) and looks fantastic from the outside. Inside the property is beautifully decorated with... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Edwardene Hotel to celebrate New Year, we arrived after a long journey to a very warm welcome from the owner. The room (Heather) was immaculate and very cosy - a small double room with en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath. Everything that we needed was provided in the room (toiletries and even... This was not my first stay at the Edwardene and I had always been happy with the excellent service and comfort of the rooms on all previous stays. When I checked into my single en-suite room I was pleasantly surprised to see it had been recently refurbished, and had a brand new feeling to it. I had always found the... More

We stayed at the Edwardene for 2 nights in October and were extremely pleased with the location, quality and service. Due to booking late we were allocated the last available room, 'Myrtle', which was a small double room with a good en-suite shower (quality toiletries provided - even cotton buds!) The rooms had clearly been refurbished recently, to a very... More

We've been coming to Keswick for the last six or so years, leaving it fairly late to book and we've stayed in some o.k. places. In June we were lucky enough to chance upon The Edwardene Hotel. Wonderfully friendly but not obtrusive owners, immaculately kept rooms and superb food served in very relaxed surroundings. We stayed again a few days ago and... More

We stayed at the Edwardene a couple of years ago for two nights, and returned for a brief one night visit. We stayed in the room called Heather, which is a fairly small double but with a relatively spacious bathroom with a lovely deep bath, and is very nicely decorated with an extremely comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent - we... More

2nd time I stayed. Situated just off the centre of Keswick. Friendly and welcoming owner. Efficient and relaxed booking, eg I changed dates with no hassle. The single room was adequate size.. Pleasant decor. Tea, hot chocolate, fruit. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Wash basin in the room - lavatory and shower in the separate en suite room. Nice toiletries. Warm, clean.... More

Keswick's gone pretty upmarket and I have to say that the Edwardene is a great base for exploring this great area of the Lakes. Top location - central yet very quiet. Lovely hosts, gorgeous breakfast, easy atmosphere and extremely comfortable bed. Perfect, really. More
