Pleasant enough but we were expecting something a bit more impressive for the price. The food is like good home cooking but nothing to 'oooh' and 'ahhhh' about. The gardens are pretty. The interior could use an update but that is not to say there was anything wrong with it. i think 3 stars/average is fair.

This was our second stay here for 4 nights - even better than our first! Malcolm, Jennifer and Karen go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay - nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are all different with lovely views and very comfy beds! It's lovely and quiet yet only 10 mins walk from the town....

The Lairbeck consistently gives high quality service, accommodation and dining, morning and evening.We have used it frequently over the past 10 years and will be coming for the next 10 if they maintain their service quality at its present standard of excellence, better than a lot of major brand hotels that we have stayed in!!
