Ate here on a Saturday Night when staying in Kendal for the weekend. Easy to find, welcoming bar and very pleasant team. Good choice of menu and nice atmosphere. Restaurant is lovely with an impressive atrium ceiling. The hotel was busy but service still good and staff pleasant and chatty. Excellent food, nicely cooked and plenty to eat - will visit... More

I have stayed at Crooklands in the past so I did not hesitate to book again when I needed to stay near Kendal. I always rated this hotel highly, but it seems to have just got better. All the staff are friendly and helpful, I had some difficulties getting an internet connection but this was sorted out without delay. The... More

Crooklands is extremely easy to find, just off J36 of the M6, and a perfect place for us to stopover en route to Scotland. The room was compact and had everything you could really want for an overnight stay. Refreshingly, there was a window in the bathroom, nice toiletries and tea & coffee facilties. The room was very clean too.... More

We arrived to a lovely looking hotel with ample space for car parking, although it is in the middle of nowhere. We stayed here on the way home from London as a stop off and were looking just to relax and sit back for a day/night. We were not disappointed. We had a few drinks in the bar which was... More

Thank you it is always good to hear when guests enjoy their stay with us, we are as you say 5/6 miles from Kendal, although years ago the A65 route to Kendal which is the one that we sit used to be the main route into Kendal from yorkshire. See how things have changed but on a Positive note we... More

Went here for a meal in a party of eight. Although a Friday night the restaurant was busy and there was also a party on in another room. The service and food was excellent and all the meals came out together. Nothing was too much trouble made a dessert for one of our party of what she wanted and even... More

We had two rooms booked for a 1 night stay at the Crooklands Hotel. The hotel was easy to find and found the staff very helpful and pleasant. I was in room 33, which was very clean, however, had a water mark from previous leak on the wall. The main bed in the room (as it was a family room)... More

Sometimes these reviews are good to see, just like this one, it just lets you see that occasionally you aren't keeping your eye on the ball. Room 33 will have a complete make-over for the new year. Thak you once again we hope that we will see you again soon. Charles and June More

Thank you, this was our second visit and this time we booked a standard room but I wasn't disappointed at all. The service is excellent and the breakfast lovely. We ate in the restaurant and really enjoyed the meal. The price of drinks was reasonable. Will come again. More

Have just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. It is very easy to find being just a few minutes from junction 36 of the M6. We had a superior twin room which had very comfortable beds and nice furnishings. The TV was of the old fashioned variety with an attached freeview box and took some problem solving... More

Thank you for your comments they are noted, unfortunately our area was the first to change over to freeview, some tv's had just been changed and for us it was a big expense to change 30 - televisions over to accept freeview 30 x £400 = £12,000.00, we are a small family owned and managed hotel we do not have...
