I felt compelled to write on here as didn't feel that my comments in their visitor book really encapsulated my thoughts on this amazing B and B. I visited Crosthwaite house for 2 nights with a group of friends as we were attending a wedding nearby. WOW! I loved it. It was just the sort of place I like to... More

After a long drive from London we were delighted to finally arrive at Crosthwaite House, which is in a stunning location. We were welcomed by Sam and shown to our room. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented - crisp white towls were laid out on the bed along with homemade shortbread and there were fresh flowers on the window... More

The location is superb, glorious views and easy access from the M6. It is just down the road (literally 2 mins walk) from the Punch Bowl Inn for a wonderful supper. The room was very comfortable and the house is beautiful. We could bring our dog too, which was a bonus. The breakfast was fab - really imaginative and great... More

Amazing house, outstanding food, warm and friendly atmosphere, lovely personal touches, spacious immaculately clean room, superb scenic countryside views. Tiree and Sam were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We especially loved the private seating area outside our room & the homemade damson jam. Thank you for the best ever 3 night break we have ever had. Jeanette &... More

My hubby and I stayed at Crosthwaite House for 2 nights. We had a full itinery - the original need for a stay was to visit the superb Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal to see Midge Ure - who was, incidentally, fantastic as usual :) Anyway, back to Crosthwaite House. The lovely owners were warm and welcoming and did not... More

Stayed here last month taking 3 rooms for my sisters, friend and mother-in-law. Mother-in law got the best room - single facing the front with excellent views over the hills.! Thanks for posting a review for us! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with us...and particularly glad you liked the home pressed apple and elderflower - Sam's dad does a grand job of doing all the juicing so I'll pass on your comments to him! Hope to see you again at some point. Best wishes Sam and Tiree x More
