Hawkshead Hall farm is a picturesque working farm set in 100 acres of unspoilt countryside in the heart of the Lake District. Just a quarter of a mile from the village of Hawkshead linked by a footpath from the site through the fields. The campsite has superb views on all sides of the surrounding area. There are lots of great walks from the doorstep and an abundance of wildlife deer, foxes, squirrels, swallows, curlews along with some friendly farm animals. Hawkshead Hall Farm offers camping and touring caravan pitches with or without electric hook up. There is a modern toilet and shower block with shaving points and electric sockets. A fridge for freezing ice packs, maps, information and brochures on the local area are available from reception. Pitches are unallocated, clients choose where to pitch upon arrival. Had a smashing time camping here with our two little girls. Found a good pitch no problem, and were more than happy the site wasn't packed. We were told by other campers that the owners like to keep it that way, hence the site full sign when there was lots of space. Facilities are spotless, showers, washing up room and laundry room. Cleaned each day we were there. Also a TV room. Good for families, couples and solo campers. Fantastic views all round and a short walk along Black Beck into Hawkshead village. There were children playing during the day but overall it was nice and quiet, particularly at night. Lovely to go to sleep listening to the owls hooting. We'll be back next year all being well.

Really enjoyed my stay at this gem of a campsite. Set in a beautiful location with a warm and friendly atmosphere, it's a very peaceful and quiet location perfect for those that enjoy relaxing in nature. Very friendly and helpful staff with basic but excellent facilities. Toilets and showers were cleaned twice daily and are very modern. Also washing up sinks and a very reasonably priced washing machine and drier. Hard standing or camping pitches available at very reasonable rates. Great choice of pubs and restaurants some within walking distance, I can highly recommend the Outgate Inn for a Sunday roast! I would definitely visit the site again and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Campsite is very welcoming. So quiet. Well placed near Hawkshead. Facilities were very clean and perfect with all amenities to hand. The pitches are lovely and a good size. Such a lovely find we booked an extra night there.

The most immaculate clean facilities I have ever seen at a campsite! The location is perfect, a ten minute walk to the village and some beautiful walks and running routes without having to drive at all. I love that they don’t allow too many pitches, they get the balance right between it having a lovely family atmosphere whilst still having plenty of space and privacy. I can’t wait to go back!

I have stayed here numerous times over the years, but the last time wasn't what it used to be, we used to always camp on the flat bit over looking the field which have now all been changed into hard standing pitches, and the small part which is for tents down there has no view as the bushes have grown that high. We really struggled to find a decent area to pitch which was flat and without feeling like we were on view. The facilities are great though, and the owners seem nice enough, but we wont come here again.

Great campsite with super clean facilities within a 10 minute walk of Hawkshead village. We stayed in our tourer on one of the huge fully serviced pitches which were virtually dead level. Hawkshead is a lovely village with a number of pubs all serving food. The drive down from the main road on the B road was a little tight at times especially when confronted by a bus but hey it was well worth it!!! We will definitely be back…

Excellent site with EHU hard standing pitches. Friendly staff at the end of a phone for check in or if you need anything. Easy check in. Choose your own pitch from available pitches. Immaculate facilities, looked like they had been cleaned every time I went in, with shower curtains changed at least twice in the 5 days we stayed, something Iv not noticed before at other sites. Warm clean showers. Close walking distance into Hawkshead and plenty of walking routes from site to Windermere, Wray Castle & Coniston.
