Clean and tidy. Breakfast and pub food delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Two problems - en-suite shower was poor and the TV reception was pretty poor too. On the whole though a great place and i would go back again. More

Just dropped in by chance. As it was off season plenty of rooms available. Comfortable and adequate. The Hotel was in its heyday in the 1920's but still offers a good accomodation as the rooms updated. The decor in the resuarant and bar is period but fits well. Food good value and the breakfast offers a wide choice very well... More

Staff lovely. Room ok. Walls extremely thin! The 2nd night there we found a note in our room stating there was a party that night. Well we had the night club/pub singer theme until 1am. Very friendly staff, very good breakfast and comfortable room. Good option for families because of the availability of good sized family room. And good pub for dinner! well situated in a nice and quiet village, near Coniston lake. More
