My husband and I have just returned from a three night stay to celebrate the New Year with friends in Coniston. Very nice Guesthouse, clean and comfortable rooms with excellent breakfast. Good base for exploring the lake district.

my fiance and I only stayed one night but it was a great little place :) excellent service, very clean room, lovely hot chocolate, comfy bed and a fab breakfast! getting married in coniston next year so will be recommending oaklands to friends and family :)

The Room was spotless and well maintained and essentials were topped up daily. A Television was in each room to make the evenings pass more smoothly and the Heating was on from the afternoon until early morning, as I attended in October it was needed. Stayed here as part of a walking holiday in May and whilst touring the Lake District with my wife in September. Same friendly welcome, spacious, spotless comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. Also has off street parking which can be at a premium in the Lake District. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay on both occasions. Highly recommended.

Decided to walk the Cumbrian way on August bank holiday and managed to get a room at last minute due to cancellation. Beautifull room with comfortable bed , immaculately clean and fabulous views of Conniston Old Man.
