Lovely stay with friends, the Superior executive room was to die for overlooking the river with a balcony, room spacious and clean,very quiet, we ate in the bar. service fast, starter lovely. My steak meal was disappointing and expensive, crème brulee was delicious Breakfast was lovely. staff helpful and friendly. Will definitely recommend and stay again.

We stayed here on Saturday night our second time at this lovely hotel, once again our room was first class, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was very busy and we were sat in the lounge area and felt the breakfast was not quite as good as our first stay last year but this could have been because they were full.... every thing was excellent as usual, the only complaint we have is that there should be hand rails to hold onto when having a shower as its so easy to slip inside the bath. Also think they should have a simple tomato or equivalent soup as not every can eat curried or spicy soup.

The Trout is one of those Hotels you feel comfortable in, it is not to stuffy so you can relax and feel at home. The management and staff are of 5star helpfulness. Had lunch here, very tasty and good value. tastefully decorated and clean throughout. Only downside is the toilets are for smaller than average people. For the average person to manoeuvre in and out is a struggle.
