The only negative i have is upon arrival we were waiting for a long time at reception- despite ringing the bell and phoning the hotel from reception. Stayed at the Lodge 13.Sept 2009 for one night, on our return from Blackpool and Windermere areas. Came upon it by chance after visiting Conniston...and we were not disappointed with our choice. Would definitely recommend the Lodge to all. more
My wife and I spent 1 night midweek at the Ambleside Lodge. We arrived without prebooking taking a chance on finding accommodation in the area. The standard policy at Hotels and B&B's in this area is to operate a three night minimum over the Bank Holidays. This couple booked for three nights NOT the two as they claim.
