I've been staying at the Fisherbeck now several times a year for about 5 years and really feel like one of the family. This year I returned to see a newly decorated lounge and breakfast room which were stylish and modern, creating a lovely space to enjoy brekfast, drinks or a snack. Great small hotel ideally located for touring the Lake District by car. Only 10 min stroll into centre of Ambleside and 15 min to top of Lake Windermere. Stayed 4 nights. Lovely hotel which is spotlessly clean. breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of good quality and well cooked food. Staff are polite,friendly and helpful.Rooms are comfortable with change of towels daily-our room had a balcony with lovely view. Ideally located with only a short walk into town. Very impressed by the Fisherbeck! Breakfast really was impressive and a good variety of choice where you are expected to sit back and enjoy whilst the staff look after you.
