Visited Easter weekend and found a beautiful location with friendly and efficient staff. This is a traditional pub and a fantastic end to a walk or trip.Food was lovely and beer was great. all staff were very welcoming especially Annie who could not do enough for us. Will definately be returning for another meal. Thanks

Drove past if loads in the past but this time was compelled to go in. Ale was absolutely brilliant as was the hostess she was ever so polite and well spoken. Place has so much character and atmosphere it's had not to love it.

Visited here for lunch on a cold snowy February lunchtime. This place has so much potential and its such a shame....log fire was barely burning. We stayed here for lunch on an MG car run. They coped well with an influx of 20 people at once, the food was very good. I would recommend this pub for its warmth and welcome, it really made our day. Luckily the weather was gorgeous and the views stunning.

After a freezing walk up Red screes the inn was warm and welcoming with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Walked in almost penniless and ordered a mountain of tap water. The staff remained incredibly friendly and talkative and the fire was lovely. We will definitely return to stay or for a meal.
