Nice breakfast though spoilt one morning with children playing pool next to our table. Lovely clean room but a little old fashioned. Excellent location. Staff friendly and helpful. Super swimming pool. We recommend staying here. There is a small car park which is very useful in Ambleside.

The Old Vicarage in Ambleside is the perfect B&B for a relaxing getaway. Fantastic location, comfy rooms furnished to a high standard, sumptuous breakfast and such a friendly welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

First time we have stayed here and to be honest very disappointed. The hotel smells by what I can only describe as a sweet, stale, fried food smell, not at all pleasant, no matter what time of day the smell lingered, the only saving grace was at breakfast time when the fresh fried food smell masked the older lingering smell....
