- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
-
The Townhouse Hotel has been developed in one of Hull’s finest buildings. Originally built in 1846, when Queen Victoria commissioned it for her personal physician Sir James Anderson, it has now been lovingly restored to fulfill the requirements of today’s business and leisure traveler. Many features of the original building have been maintained, such as the sweeping staircase and ornate pillars which compliment new features such as the striking Italian marble reception. All 27 bedrooms feature a wealth of facilities including free WiFi connectivity, air conditioning, plasma screens and DVD players, laptop safes, fridges (with fresh milk as standard), tea and coffee making facilities, irons and ironing boards, Ipod docking stations, Jacuzzi style baths and power showers. Although the rooms are only based over four floors, a lift is available for those who prefer not to take the stairs. It is our aim to provide all our guests with a quality of hospitality and service seldom found in city centre hotels, and the team has been handpicked to deliver this objective. Full English breakfast is included within all room rates. For those guests wishing to take evening refreshments, a full room service menu and drinks list is available.
